Andrea Nunez de Caceres is a multidisciplinary artist born and raised in Tampico, Mexico and based in Oakland. Nunez de Caceres' artwork delves into her personal experiences with identity in both Mexico and the United States. Her role as a Mexican immigrant has significantly influenced how she perceives herself and how she is perceived; demonstrating this contrast of identities in Mexico and the United States in her work. Regularly hinting at her birthplace, a quirky Roswell-like extraterrestrial crazed city in the Gulf of Mexico, she works the surrealism of her experience in her work.      

 

       She has shown her pieces in the deYoung Museum of San Francisco (deYoung Open 2023), in Mexico, San Francisco, Berkeley and London.
